Dalesandro to play for Lebanon Valley

Former Esmark Stars standout forward Carmen Dalesandro has committed to play NCAA hockey at Lebanon Valley College to continue his academic and hockey development.  While currently an ACHA Division I school, Lebanon Valley will be an NCAA Division III team in 2016-17.

Dalesandro, a 20-year-old from Canonsburg, PA, has flourished under the umbrella of the NAHL.

He spent the past two seasons with the North Iowa Bulls, members of the NA3HL. Prior to coming to the Bulls, he spent three years in the NAPHL with the Esmark Stars / Pittsburgh Viper Stars. After the Stars he also saw some playing time in the NAHL with the Soo Eagles.

While with the Bulls, Dalesandro played 69 regular season games where he tallied 36 goals and 45 assists for 81 points.  In nine playoff games, he scored two goals and added four assists, three of which were at the 2016 NA3HL's Silver Cup National Championship, which North Iowa captured.

"Carmen is a heart and soul kid who plays the game like his hair is on fire, he is gritty but possesses the ability to change games with his offensive prowess too," said North Iowa head coach Todd Sanden.

"He is a player we are going to miss ... his energy, tenacity, and love for the game are all things that will keep him on a successful path at Lebanon Valley College."

"Carmen is a high energy guy that instantly becomes a fan favorite," offered Esmark 18U head coach Dave Kosick. "We are very proud of him and wish him continued success at Lebanon Valley."
