NAHL's Minot Signs Esmark Power Forward

The Esmark Stars, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 18U forward David Polinski has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Minot Minotauros. The Minotauros compete in the NAHL’s Central Division.

Polinski, a native of Moundsville, West Virginia, collected 60 points (23 goals, 37 assists) in 65 games for the Stars during the 2014-15 season, his second year skating for Esmark's 18U AAA club.  This included 18 points (9 goals, 9 assists) in 27 NAPHL league games.

Polinski was also selected to and participated in the 2015 NAPHL Top Prospects Tournament, held in Ann Arbor, MI in February. During that showcase event for the top players in the NAPHL, as selected by the league's scouting service, Polinski played very well for Team East and recorded four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in three games as Team East completed the three game showcase undefeated.

During the 2013-14 season, Polinski recorded collected 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists) in 57 games for Esmark.  This included 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 28 NAPHL league games.

“David is a great kid," said Esmark head coach Dave Kosick. "He returned to our club as a post grad this past season to give himself the best opportunity to make a NAHL squad.”

“He came back focused with a purpose … to make a Junior A club.  He was driven and dedicated to that purpose and worked his tail off. His work ethic and approach were simple in purpose … work twice as hard as anyone else and leave all you have on the ice."

"David has demonstrated that that if you put in the work, stay focused on your goals, skate for a club that gives you maximum opportunity to be seen … you can make dreams come true."

Polinski is the fourth player from the 2014-15 Esmark 18U team to sign an NAHL tender for this upcoming season, joining Jon Dagnal (Johnstown Tomahawks), Carter Ekberg (Janesville) and Adam Alavi (Wenatchee).
