NHAHA players Selected to PIHL All-Star Games

21 Players Chosen

Twenty one members of North Hills Amateur Hockey Association were selected to participate in the 2015 Pittsburgh Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL) All-Star Games.

The games, which were played on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at the RMU Island Sports Center, pitted top players form western PA high school rosters as selected by Varsity head coaches within the PIHL.

Esmark Stars selected to participate in the 2015 PIHL All-Star games included: Class AAA - Christian Louria, defenseman, junior, North Allegheny High School; Alex Crilley, forward, junior, Seneca Valley High School; Adam Alavi, forward, senior, Peters Township High School; Carter Ekberg, defenseman, senior, Peters Township High School; Class AA - Brian Dee, forward, senior, Baldwin High School; Max Milan, forward, junior, Baldwin High School; Ethan Homitz, forward, senior, Hampton High School; Austin Martz, forward, junior, Shaler High School; Brendan Johns, forward, junior, Greater Latrobe High School; Ben Friedland, forward, junior, Fox Chapel High School; Jonny Rice, forward, junior, Fox Chapel High School; Class A - Beau Heakins, forward, junior, Mars High School; Thomas Kimmick, forward, senior, Thomas Jefferson High School; Vincent Casale, forward, senior, Deer Lakes High School; Andrew Koziara, forward, junior, Hempfield High School; Division 2 - James Unger, defenseman, senior, Carrick High School.

Pittsburgh
Vipers selected to participate in the 2015 PIHL All-Star games included: Class AAA - Ryan Kingerski, forward, Sophomore, Central Catholic High School; Class AA - Stone Haberstroh, forward, junior, Freeport High School;  Nathan Grafton, defense, senior, Armstrong High School;  Class A - Connor Monzo, defense, junior, Hempfield High School;  Luke Rosendale, defense, junior, Hempfield High School.

"We congratulate all the Esmark, and non-Esmark players, selected to participate in the high school All-Star games," said Dave Kosick, coordinator of the Esmark Stars AAA program.

"The Stars have a proud tradition over the past 30 plus years, of not preventing member players to participate in high school play while playing AAA hockey," Kosick continued.  "The opportunity to pull on a school sweater and play in front of fellow classmates is something we have chosen to not deny,"
