Former Esmark Star named NA3HL West Division Star of the Week

Former Esmark Stars forward Carmen Dalesandro, now a member of the North Iowa Bulls, was selected as the NA3HL West Division Star of the week for his play against the St. Louis Jr. Blues, Oct. 24 - 25.

It was certainly a weekend for the record books for both the North Iowa Bulls and the 19-year-old forward from Cannonsburg, PA, as Dalesandro posted 10 points.

The 155 lbs., 5’7" newly acquired froward played a big part in the Bulls wins over the Blues, tallying five goals and five assists, and an amazing plus 10 rating in the two-game home sweep.

On Friday, Dalesandro registered a goal and four assists in a 10-1 win. He followed that up on Saturday, tallying four goals and one assist in a 12-1 win.

"Carmen instantly brought energy into our lineup.  He plays the game like his hair is on fire, competing hard every shift.  We are very fortunate to have him on our team right now,” said North Iowa head coach Todd Sanden.

Dalesandro spent four seasons in the Stars program (U16 & U18) and was tendered this past season by the Soo Eagles of the NAHL.
